This policy explains how WASH handles personal information collected through the WASH app waitlist. Where the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and Australian Privacy Principles apply, WASH will handle personal information in accordance with those requirements.

1. Who can join and what we collect

Anyone can join the WASH app waitlist, including people under 18. We only ask for:

• your name;

• your age; and

• your email address.

Please do not provide medical, injury, disability, biometric, school, residential address, payment, identification or other sensitive information through the waitlist. A parent or legal guardian may also provide waitlist details on behalf of a person under 18.

2. How we collect and use your information

We collect your name, age and email address when you complete the waitlist form on our Squarespace website.

Squarespace may also process limited technical information needed to operate and secure the webpage and form, such as IP address, device or browser information and timestamps.

We use waitlist information to:

• add you to and manage the waitlist;

• send email updates about app development, testing opportunities, launch and availability;

• understand interest in the app and plan or improve it;

• invite people to optional testing or feedback opportunities;

• respond to questions or privacy requests; and

• operate and secure the waitlist and comply with legal obligations.

You can unsubscribe from waitlist emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in an email or by contacting WASH.

3. Who can access or receive your information

Only authorised WASH personnel may view and use identifiable waitlist information for the purposes described in this policy. WASH does not sell, rent or give waitlist personal information to third parties for their own use, marketing or advertising.

Squarespace and any contracted technology provider used to operate the website, form, email or storage services may process or store information only as needed to provide those services to WASH. WASH may also disclose information where required or authorised by law, such as to a regulator, court or law-enforcement body.

4. Overseas processing, cookies and security

Squarespace and its service providers may process or store information outside Australia. The waitlist page may also use cookies and similar technologies needed for site operation, security and basic analytics. WASH does not use waitlist personal information for third-party advertising.

WASH takes reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Access to identifiable waitlist information is restricted to authorised personnel. No online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your name, age and email address only for as long as reasonably needed to manage the waitlist, communicate with you, plan the app, resolve issues and meet legal obligations. When information is no longer required, we will delete or de-identify it where appropriate.

If you unsubscribe or ask to be removed, we will stop relevant communications and remove your information from active waitlist use, subject to reasonable processing time and any legal requirement to retain it. We may keep a minimal record of your email address and opt-out date so we do not contact you again contrary to your request.

6. Your privacy rights and complaints

You may ask WASH to access or correct personal information we hold about you, remove you from the waitlist, withdraw communication consent or delete information that is no longer required. We may need to verify the identity or authority of the person making the request.

If you have a privacy concern or complaint, contact us using the details below. We will consider and respond to the

issue. If the Privacy Act applies and you are not satisfied with our response, you may be able to complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if the waitlist, app, providers or legal requirements change. The current version will be published with its effective or last-updated date.
